International Conference
on Fishing Communities 2025
November 09th (Sun)-12th (Wed), 2025
November 09th (Sun)-12th (Wed), 2025
The ICFC 2025 is convened with the aim of fostering international cooperation and policy alignment and establishing a collaborative global framework for sharing strategies, coordinating policies, and advancing joint responses among nations to ensure a sustainable future for fishing communities.
Today, fishing communities are no longer solely centers of livelihood—they are at the forefront of addressing complex global challenges such as climate resilience, food security, community resilience, and youth employment, requiring robust global governance.
This conference will serve as a platform for fishing communities, governments, international organizations, and research institutions from around the world to come together, discuss shared challenges, and shape strategies for sustainable development and collective action. It will also offer an opportunity for the Republic of Korea to share its policy experience in coastal development and reinforce its role as a leading nation in advancing coastal resilience and policy diplomacy on the global stage.
